Generation That Seeks was designed and created for youth by youth. Generation That Seeks comes from Psalm 24:4-6 which says, “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted his to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully, he shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from God of his salvation. This Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seeks Your face.” We have three primary goals at GTS. They are:
1. Presenting the Gospel: God calls every Christian to present the gospel. If we didn’t, we would be disobeying God. 2 Timothy 4:2-5 says, “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For a time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
2. Equip and Edify: We want to equip and edify our youth of today so that they can learn to seek Christ and become the Christian leaders of tomorrow. Hebrews 13:14 says, “For here we have no continuing city, but seek the one to come.”
3. Take Acton: Want our youth to speak up about their faith and take action. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” We don’t want our youth (our future leaders) ill equipped when it’s their time to lead the church. We want them active for Christ now. We want them out there doing the things that God has blessed them with the talent to do.
This blog’s great!! Thanks
